NEWS & REMINDERS
Sign Up In Advance for Classes
Don’t forget to please sign up for classes early. Early sign-ups help tremendously in allowing our coaches to plan accordingly and make your experience amazing, each and every time.
For our typically smaller classes, please remember that classes can be canceled due to a lack of sign ups. Also remember that our early morning classes will cancel if people are not signed up the evening before.
Clean Habits Build Strong Values
Friendly reminder for everyone to do their part to keep the gym tidy and clean. There are several wipe containers throughout the gym, so please be sure to wipe down equipment and put it back in its place when done. Parents, thank you for doing your part in leaving the club room tidy and clean for the next set of kids. Thank you to all for your efforts in building strong values through clean habits!
Run Club
Join the Run Club every Tuesday at 6pm at Sailfish. You don’t need to be an expert runner! Everyone goes at their own pace down a similar route from Avenue A to the bridge and back. It is a choose your own adventure run/walk, if you’d like to run all three miles, awesome! If you are just starting and want to walk a mile, great! When you're finished, Run Club meets back at Sailfish to grab a beverage for a discount. There is also a punch system depending on how many visits you can get things like free beer, t-shirts, and more.
LEGIT’S TOY DRIVE
The CFFP community will once again be helping out with our very own Jose ‘Legit’s’ downtown Toy Drive! Please bring in a new, unwrapped toy for local children for this Christmas season. We will have a collection box at the gym where you can drop off your toy up until December 20th. Let’s make it our best giving year yet!!
WE ARE CROSSFIT FORT PIERCE
‘GIRLS LOVE CUPS!’
Thanks to everyone who showed up to support our very own member and yoga coach, Briana Nielsen, on the official book launch of her children’s book titled ‘Girls Love Cups!’ It was a very special occasion for our community as we celebrated Brianna’s achievement with lots of good chatter and yummy food and drinks. Be sure to get yourself a copy! Link below:
Thanks to our very own Mindy Palhete-Fernandes from Everlasting Films & Photography for the great photos of this wonderful event. Here’s some highlights from the event or you can click on the link below to check out all of the photos taken.
InBody | BODY COMPOSITION SCALE
Did you know that we have our very own InBody Body Composition Scale at the gym, free to use for all members. That’s right! It’s a really cool machine that quickly measure fat mass, muscle mass, and body water. It’s super user-friendly and non-invasive. You simply follow the step-by-step directions on it, and before you know it, you’re getting a detailed analysis print-out. Don’t want the paperwork? Then download the app and the results are automatically sent to and saved there, keeping a detailed history of your progress and achievements. It even has features to help you achieve your goals, like their macro calculations that can guide you on what and/or how much to eat depending on your fitness goal. Give it a try!! You can find it at the back of the gym next to the water cooler. Here’s a link to the company’s website where you can learn more about all of the features that are readily accessible to you, our CFFP member!
SUPPORT OUR OWN
We are excited to continue highlighting our amazing local businesses owned by our very own members! By supporting these businesses, you’re not only helping fellow gym members thrive, but also strengthening our entire community. We encourage you to visit their websites by clicking on the respective logo below.
*If you own or are a part of a local business and would like to be included, please email info@crossfitfortpierce.com and be sure to include the logo. Thank you!
LIFE CLASS MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Nancy Ingle
At 72 years old, Nancy is proving every day that strength has no age limit. A retired Safety and Training Officer for the City of Fort Pierce Public Works, she’s a native Floridian who grew up in Miami before settling in Fort Pierce in 1978. After years of encouragement from her daughter—and a promise she couldn’t take back—Nancy finally tried CrossFit in early 2023. She walked into the gym nervous and unsure of what to expect, but was immediately greeted with smiles, warm welcomes, and zero judgment. She now calls that moment one of the best decisions she’s ever made.
Nancy has embraced the challenge of CrossFit, even if burpees and push-ups aren’t her favorites (she’s working on them—and maybe on learning to like them!). Her proudest milestone so far was seeing her InBody graph show steady improvement, clear proof that her consistency is paying off. CrossFit has boosted her confidence, strengthened her daily life outside the gym, and given her something especially meaningful: a family-like community she truly treasures.
She keeps showing up because she loves the people, the energy, the workouts, and the uplifting feeling of accomplishment each day. If she could design her own WOD, it would include long, relaxing stretches with a bit of strength and cardio—and absolutely no burpees or push-ups. After class, she’ll usually grab some chicken at home, but if she’s treating herself, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich always hits the spot.
A fun fact most people don’t know: during Hurricane Frances in 2004, while working in the Emergency Operations Center, Nancy met President George W. Bush. She shook his hand, chatted with him briefly, and even snapped a photo together—an unforgettable moment in a remarkable life.
Athlete of the Month
Robin Dugan
At 64 years young, Robin is living proof that it’s never too late to take charge of your health. Originally from Bear, Delaware, she spent 39 years working at Publix and later enjoyed a career as a dog sitter. Her journey to CrossFit began with a life-changing realization: after losing her mother at a young age and approaching her 50s at the heaviest weight of her life, she knew she needed to make a change—for her health, longevity, and confidence.
Since starting CrossFit in 2011, Robin has accomplished incredible milestones. She has lost 65 pounds, maintained most of it, and is well on her way to her goal once again. Her 305-pound deadlift in August 2013 remains a standout moment, and one of her proudest memories came during a zip-lining adventure with CFFP/772, where she nearly completed the entire course—proving to herself that she can overcome challenges both in and out of the gym. Her favorite lift is the back squat, though she’s continuously working to improve movements like sit-ups, jumping, and grip strength.
What Robin loves most about the gym is the community: everyone shows up and supports one another, which keeps her motivated along with Coach Tini, her health goals, and the energy of fellow members Gio and Luca. If she could design her own WOD, it would be a 20+ minute session with four or five different movements. After class, she recently enjoys treating herself to a Tropical Smoothie Cranberry Truffle.
And a fun fact that might surprise you: Robin is an avid Pokémon Go player, competing under the trainer name Dewgs425 at Level 59—proving that playfulness and determination go hand in hand!
*Each month we spotlight a CFFP athlete who stands out. We are always looking for that athlete that shows up, gives their best, and then gives more. These athletes are ready to learn, ready to work, support their fellow classmates, and encourage others to reach their goals. If you have someone in mind, please email your suggestions to info@ crossfitfortpierce.com or you can DM our instagram page. Please make sure to share why you think this athlete is deserving.
