October 2026 Newsletter

THANK YOU…

to all of our members that came out to celebrate our 16th Anniversary at Sailfish. It was a great time all around and a chance for members from all classes and walks of life to reminisce on the hard work, perseverance, and sweat of the past, and look forward to another great year of personal achievements! Let’s make number 17 the best year yet!

The PCCF Throwdown is almost here! Mark your calendars for November 21, 2026. Whether you participate or spectate, it’s one of our favorite events of the year and is a great example of what the CrossFit community is all about. Help us be the most represented CF box at this event, yet again. Click on the logo above to find out more information.

Space Coast Marathon is celebrating its 55th year in 2026, making it the oldest marathon in the state of Florida. We invite runners and walkers alike to experience one of the most beautiful USATF certified waterfront courses on the east coast of Florida.

We already have several members signed up and are looking to make our presence felt at this year’s big event. Let’s go!!!

SPANISH STORYTIME WITH JAZMIN

¡Bienvenidos!

Grab the kids and join Jazmin every Friday at 10:30 AM for Spanish Storytime, where storytelling brings Spanish to life! This immersive, family-friendly experience is a fun way for children (and grown-ups!) to hear, learn, and enjoy the Spanish language in a relaxed and engaging setting.

And we hear that some of our 9 AM grown-ups have been sticking around for Storytime, too! 😉 Whether you're here with your little one or just want to brush up on your español, everyone is welcome. Come join the fun—

**Early sign-ups help our coaches to plan accordingly and make your experience amazing, each and every time.

Classes can be canceled due to a lack of sign ups, including early morning classes if people are not signed up the evening before.

WE ARE CROSSFIT FORT PIERCE

DID YOU KNOW THAT…

We have our very own InBody Body Composition Scale at the gym, free to use for all members. That’s right! It’s a really cool machine that quickly measure fat mass, muscle mass, and body water. It’s super user-friendly and non-invasive. You simply follow the step-by-step directions on it, and before you know it, you’re getting a detailed analysis print-out. Don’t want the paperwork? Then download the app and the results are automatically sent to and saved there, keeping a detailed history of your progress and achievements. It even has features to help you achieve your goals, like their macro calculations that can guide you on what and/or how much to eat depending on your fitness goal. Give it a try!! You can find it at the back of the gym next to the water cooler. Here’s a link to the company’s website where you can learn more about all of the features that are readily accessible to you, our CFFP member!

LIFE CLASS MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

Sheri Brown

Sheri Brown, 70, is a hairdresser and proud Nana Nanny to her one-year-old granddaughter. She found her way to CrossFit thanks to her daughter, Kelly, and quickly discovered that she simply loves to move—so much so that she doesn’t have a favorite movement or lift! Right now, she’s working on improving her push-ups, but perhaps her biggest CrossFit success is something much simpler: showing up. CrossFit has helped Sheri stay mobile, maintain the energy needed to keep up with her granddaughter, and feel better both physically and mentally. She’s motivated by the desire to be the best version of herself, stay happy and healthy, and even breathe better while managing her asthma. What she loves most about our gym is the sense of family—the welcoming community where everyone encourages and pushes one another to be better, whatever that looks like for each person. If Sheri could create her own WOD, it would include a combination of cardio and strength… just no burpees! Her post-workout go-to is a FitAid, and when she’s not at the gym, you might be surprised to learn that Sheri was once a softball and volleyball player—and she’s a wiz at cryptograms!

Athlete of the Month

Brian Mast

Brian Mast, 46, is a U.S. Representative who came to CrossFit with a simple goal: to be the fittest he can be, keep doing what he loves, and make sure his teenage sons can’t overpower him until he’s at least 80! His favorite movements are the bench press and dips—so much so that when he sees squats, he’s substituting bench press, and when lunges or box jumps appear, he’s reaching for the dips. Right now, Brian is working on his pull-ups, focusing on “bending the bar in half” between his hands and really engaging his back. CrossFit has had a meaningful impact on his life outside the gym, particularly by building the upper-body strength and endurance that give him greater freedom of movement with his prosthetics. He recently found that strength especially valuable while navigating a submarine, where moving between levels involves climbing ladders rather than simply stepping up. One of his proudest CrossFit accomplishments so far? Beating his son in muscle-ups!

Brian loves the gym community because he doesn’t even need anyone to say a word—the sight of everyone pushing themselves to get fitter motivates him to do the same. He keeps showing up because he loves the challenge and knowing that when his muscles are exhausted, they’ll come back stronger, and when his heart rate and breathing recover, he knows he’s getting fitter. If Brian could design his own WOD, it would be an all-upper-body affair featuring the Assault Bike—with no leg pedaling, of course—along with dips and toes-to-bar. His post-workout meal of choice is simple: eggs! And his secret to pushing through those moments when he’s completely exhausted? Smile. Brian believes that smiling gives him energy, so when he feels like collapsing on the floor, he smiles instead—and somehow finds a little more energy to keep going.
