NEWS & REMINDERS

Sign Up In Advance for Classes

Don’t forget to please sign up for classes early. Early sign-ups help tremendously in allowing our coaches to plan accordingly and make your experience amazing, each and every time.

For our typically smaller classes, please remember that classes can be canceled due to a lack of sign ups. Also remember that our early morning classes will cancel if people are not signed up the evening before.

Clean Habits Build Strong Values

Friendly reminder for everyone to do their part to keep the gym tidy and clean. There are several wipe containers throughout the gym, so please be sure to wipe down equipment and put it back in its place when done. Parents, thank you for doing your part in leaving the club room tidy and clean for the next set of kids. Thank you to all for your efforts in building strong values through clean habits!

Run Club

Join the Run Club every Tuesday at 6pm at Sailfish. You don’t need to be an expert runner! Everyone goes at their own pace down a similar route from Avenue A to the bridge and back. It is a choose your own adventure run/walk, if you’d like to run all three miles, awesome! If you are just starting and want to walk a mile, great! When you're finished, Run Club meets back at Sailfish to grab a beverage for a discount. There is also a punch system depending on how many visits you can get things like free beer, t-shirts, and more.

WE ARE CROSSFIT FORT PIERCE

YOU’RE INVITED!

Our very own member and yoga coach, Brianna Nielsen, has written and published a children’s book titled ‘Girls Love Cups!’ Join us on Friday, Nov 14th from 5:30 to 7:30pm for her very first book launch right here at CrossFit Fort Pierce. Come support this very special moment for Bri and our community! What an amazing accomplishment!!!

InBody | BODY COMPOSITION SCALE

Did you know that we have our very own InBody Body Composition Scale at the gym, free to use for all members. That’s right! It’s a really cool machine that quickly measure fat mass, muscle mass, and body water. It’s super user-friendly and non-invasive. You simply follow the step-by-step directions on it, and before you know it, you’re getting a detailed analysis print-out. Don’t want the paperwork? Then download the app and the results are automatically sent to and saved there, keeping a detailed history of your progress and achievements. It even has features to help you achieve your goals, like their macro calculations that can guide you on what and/or how much to eat depending on your fitness goal. Give it a try!! You can find it at the back of the gym next to the water cooler. Here’s a link to the company’s website where you can learn more about all of the features that are readily accessible to you, our CFFP member!

LIFE CLASS MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

Santa Lachase

At 70 years old, Santa Lachase is a retired retail worker originally from Honduras. Her journey into CrossFit began after her daughter suggested she try the CrossFit LIFE class following her quadruple bypass surgery in 2021. Despite facing major health challenges—including a pacemaker, both knees replaced, and a past battle with Bell’s Palsy—Santa has discovered a renewed sense of purpose and vitality through fitness. Her favorite movement is the squat, and she continues to work on improving her overall strength and endurance.

CrossFit has truly transformed Santa’s life outside the gym. It has given her a new focus on health and introduced her to a supportive community of friends who share the same goals. She loves how everyone helps one another—if one person falls, the others are there to lift them up. Her proudest CrossFit achievement is being able to complete an entire workout and finish feeling energized. Santa especially appreciates her coaches—Lou, Tony, Jose, and the rest of the team—who guide and motivate her every step of the way.

Her biggest motivation to keep showing up is the gift of a second chance at life. As she puts it, she’s been given another opportunity to live, and she intends to make the most of it. If Santa could design her own WOD, it would include a little bit of everything to keep it fun and balanced.

A fun fact about Santa that most people don’t know is that she’s had quite an extraordinary life journey. Born in Honduras, she traveled to Venice, Italy, at a young age, where she worked at the famous Murano glass factory. Later, she came to the United States, where she met her husband, a proud U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran. Santa’s story is one of resilience, adventure, and gratitude—qualities that shine through in everything she does, both inside and outside the gym. She’s a true inspiration to everyone around her and says that if she can do it, anyone can!

Athlete of the Month

Ryan Lee

At 54 years old, Ryan Lee serves as the General Manager at Camping World of FP and hails from Glasgow, Montana. A former Airborne serviceman in the military, Ryan has always pushed himself to the limit and missed the challenge of competing against himself and the clock—something CrossFit brought back into his life. His favorite movement is the power clean, and he’s currently focused on improving his muscle-up. Ryan credits CrossFit with restoring discipline in his life, a quality that now carries over into everything he does outside the gym. One of his proudest accomplishments so far has been taking and acing the CFL1 course.

Ryan loves the supportive and motivating atmosphere of his gym community. He’s found people who push him to be better, and he takes pride in doing the same for others. His biggest motivation to keep showing up is his family, as his ultimate goal is health and longevity through consistent training and good nutrition. If Ryan could design his own WOD, it would start with a 400m run buy-in, followed by a 12-9-6 rep scheme featuring push-pull movements and a barbell complex—such as power cleans to overhead paired with pull-ups or chest-to-bars.

Although Ryan practices intermittent fasting and typically doesn’t eat right after workouts, he admits that chocolate chip cookies are his weakness. A fun fact about him is that he’s a devoted family man with eight children, the youngest being six years old. At 54, CrossFit allows Ryan to keep up with his youngest and be there for all of his kids—and for him, that’s what it’s all about.

*Each month we spotlight a CFFP athlete who stands out. We are always looking for that athlete that shows up, gives their best, and then gives more. These athletes are ready to learn, ready to work, support their fellow classmates, and encourage others to reach their goals. If you have someone in mind, please email your suggestions to info@ crossfitfortpierce.com or you can DM our instagram page. Please make sure to share why you think this athlete is deserving.
