WE ARE CROSSFIT FORT PIERCE

INBODY COMPOSITION SCALE

We have our very own InBody Body Composition Scale at the gym, free to use for all members. That’s right! It’s a really cool machine that quickly measure fat mass, muscle mass, and body water. It’s super user-friendly and non-invasive. You simply follow the step-by-step directions on it, and before you know it, you’re getting a detailed analysis print-out. Don’t want the paperwork? Then download the app and the results are automatically sent to and saved there, keeping a detailed history of your progress and achievements. It even has features to help you achieve your goals, like their macro calculations that can guide you on what and/or how much to eat depending on your fitness goal. Give it a try!! You can find it at the back of the gym next to the water cooler. Here’s a link to the company’s website where you can learn more about all of the features that are readily accessible to you, our CFFP member!

LIFE CLASS MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

Roseann Dinda

At 71 years young, Roseann Dinda is proof that strength, determination, and a positive outlook have no age limit! Originally from Pennsylvania, Roseann has also called Ohio and Tennessee home before settling in Florida. She is a business coach, investor, and entrepreneur who was introduced to CrossFit by Bob Winterton.

Roseann enjoys all types of exercise, with CrossFit, yoga, and Pilates being her favorites. She also loves walking, especially with her weighted vest! One movement she is currently working to improve is her planks on a yoga ball. When asked how CrossFit has impacted her life outside the gym, Roseann says that increasing strength, balance, and core stability helps with everyday activities. She also believes exercise does wonders for your mood, mind, and overall outlook on life.

One of her proudest CrossFit accomplishments so far? Finally getting her feet off the ground on the vertical rope! And what does she love most about our gym? The people! Roseann has met so many lovely and caring people and genuinely looks forward to coming to class.

When it comes to motivation, Roseann says, "Me!!!" After losing 50 pounds about four years ago, she is dedicated to keeping it off forever. Her commitment to staying active and healthy is truly inspiring!

If she could create her own workout, it would include the circuits she loves in CrossFit, along with some Pilates and yoga-inspired stretching and warm-ups. She loves the blend of exercises that CrossFit offers. After a workout, her first priority is plenty of water (she's always thirsty!). She may enjoy a yogurt drink and then some fresh fruit a little later.

And here's a fun fact you may not know about Roseann: She is absolutely crazy about dogs! She had five dogs for many years, eventually went down to three, and now shares her home with one very special 10-pound miniature dachshund named Lizzy. According to Roseann, Lizzy runs the house!

Roseann, your dedication, enthusiasm, and wonderful spirit are an inspiration to our CrossFit community. We are so happy to have you as part of our gym family. Keep showing up, keep getting stronger, and keep inspiring us! You are what being a lifelong athlete is all about!

Co-Athletes of the Month

Jess | Alexis

Jess Lane is 52 years old and a proud mom of four amazing kids who keep her busy with sports and activities. Her son recently graduated from college and landed his first job in Tampa, her daughter plays soccer in England, and her two youngest are in high school at LPA. Jess works at the elementary school her children attended, where she teaches math, coaches Girls on the Run, and sponsors Student Council.

Alexis Zaragoza is 49 years old and has spent the last 20 years working in education. She teaches at a local elementary school, where one of her greatest joys is watching children grow into readers. But her greatest joys of all are her three children: Emi, 23, Ava, 19, and Max, 17.

CrossFit Beginnings | Jess was part of the CrossFit Fort Pierce community about 10 years ago, when her kids participated in the CrossFit Kids program. Fast forward to May 2026, when one of her coworker besties, Alexis, won a two-month CFFP membership in a faculty raffle at school. Jess decided it was the perfect opportunity to join her on the journey! As a longtime runner, she was ready to change up her workout routine, and what better way to return to CrossFit than alongside a good friend?

For Alexis, it came with a little luck and a LOT of raffle tickets! At the end of the school year, CFFP offered a two-month membership as a faculty raffle prize, and Alexis went all in with her tickets. Having just completed a graduate degree that had kept her busy and left little time for exercise, she knew it was time to get back to moving her body. She won the raffle, and the rest is history!

The first week (and many weeks after) was all about showing up, remembering to breathe, and keeping moving. Along the way, Alexis noticed her cardio fitness improving, and she realized she could train with more energy and focus. She also loves that every coach brings something unique to the table and appreciates all the knowledge, encouragement, and motivation they've shared with her.

One of the best parts of her CrossFit journey has been having her workout bestie, Jess, by her side! The two have been friends for many years, spending plenty of time supporting their kids' sports. Now they get to share something new: becoming stronger together, side by side. How fun is that?

Favorite CrossFit Moves | Jess loves anything on the box! Box jumps, stepovers, and she recently tried stepovers with the ball for the first time.

Alexis loves wall balls! She loves the rhythm of the movement and how it can put her into a flow state. She's also working on improving her deadlift.

CrossFit Accomplishments | Wall walks! When Jess first started, she wasn't even sure she could hold herself up with her arms. Before long, she was able to shift her weight from one hand to the other, and now she can walk her hands several steps back toward the wall. Talk about progress!

CrossFit has also made a noticeable difference in Jess's running. Until recently, she just couldn't give up her daily runs to devote time to other types of fitness. Since joining CFFP, she's running less overall, but her mile time has dropped by almost a minute! She can also really feel the difference in the strength of her legs.

Alexi's’ proudest CrossFit moment came after finishing a particularly challenging WOD that included three sets of a barbell movement and burpees, followed by three sets of kettlebell swings and burpees. As she pushed herself to finish, two fellow athletes came over to encourage her. Their positive energy helped her keep going and finish strong. That's the power of community!

CrossFit has made a difference for Alexis both inside and outside the gym. Her resting heart rate has decreased, and she feels more relaxed and content. During a challenging workout, her brain gets to focus on just one thing: the WOD. It's a welcome break from everything else and an opportunity to be completely in the moment. She loves feeling her body work hard and carrying that positive energy with her long after class is over.

CFFP Love | One of Jess' favorite things about CFFP is the welcoming and encouraging community. She's especially impressed by how everyone treats each other like friends and how everybody knows your name. She's always felt like a part of every WOD, even when modifying a movement or lifting just the bar. She appreciates the kind and patient coaches, especially when she needs the clean and jerk demonstrated on repeat!

Jess keeps coming back because she loves the physical and mental challenge of every workout. Plus, sharing the WOD details makes for some great dinner conversation at her house!

Community is exactly what Alexis loves most about CFFP as well. She appreciates the acceptance, respect, and encouragement throughout the gym. Everyone is at a different fitness level, but everyone is working toward their own personal edge. She knows she can show up, move with her breath, find the pace and rhythm that's right for her, and count on the guidance of talented coaches and the support of the CFFP family.

The opportunity to challenge herself, stay present, and keep getting stronger, all while being surrounded by such an encouraging community is what keeps Alexis coming back for more.

Create Your Own Wod | For Jess, it would include rounds of running, box jumps or burpees, and dumbbell press. Alexis would include wall balls, ab work, and rowing. Both sound like good ones!

Fun Facts | Jess enjoys an apple, peanut butter, and pretzels right after a hard workout. It's simple, but it works! She is usually heading straight to the car, one of her kids' games, or the barn with her daughter after class. And when she's in the mood for a little treat, she adds honey! Jess dreams of hiking the Appalachian Trail someday, preferably with a guide who promises to handle any bear situations! Her husband and she travel to North Carolina every summer and have already day-hiked several sections of the trail. There's just something special about following those white blazes painted on the trees. Jess also loves taking pictures and documenting all of their adventures.

Alexis loves baking sourdough bread and desserts! And her favorite treat? A homemade sourdough chocolate chip cookie paired with a cup of honey lavender tea. Now that's a post-WOD treat worth looking forward to!

We're so happy to have Jess and Alexis in the CFFP community! Jess’ dedication, positive attitude, and willingness to challenge herself are what it's all about. Thank goodness that a few extra raffle tickets brought Alexis through our doors! We're even happier she's found a place to challenge herself, build strength, and share the journey with her great friend Jess. Keep showing up, finding your rhythm, and crushing those WODs!
